CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Friday, June 8th

GET TOGETHER DINNER at the American Legion open to everyone.  Dinner includes entrée, dessert and coffee or tea.  Cost is $10.00 and reservations are required by Monday, June 4th.  There will be a limit of only 90 dinners being served so plan early.  Reservations can be made in writing or by calling Amy Taylor at (802) 259-2093.

Saturday, June 9th

DANCE PARTY at the American Legion beginning at 8:00 p.m. and ending at midnight.  John Standard and the Sound Investments will be providing the entertainment for the evening.  Cover charge is $5.00 per person.

Sunday, June 10th

ALUMNI PARADE step off is at 11:00 a.m. from the Okemo Marketplace and ending at the Veterans Park.  The theme for this year’s parade is “T.V. Shows”.  Who can forget those favorite sitcoms and cartoons we all enjoyed.  Get those creative juices flowing, the options are endless.  We are also looking for volunteers for a parade committee to help with the planning process as well as help the day of the parade.  Planning a parade requires many hands and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Immediately following the parade the Brattleboro American Legion Band will be performing a free concert under the Alumni tent located behind the American Legion on Main Street.  All are welcome!!  The Sons of the American Legion will also be hosting a chicken barbeque as well so grab a chicken and come enjoy some great music.  

Black River High School Activities

The High School will be hosting “Senior Night” on Friday, June 8th, when awards and scholarships will be presented to this year’s senior class.  The event begins at 7:00 p.m.  Graduation will be held on Saturday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m.  Both of these events will be held at the Black River High School Gymnasium.                               .
